Facing life’s Record-4 : A message of judgment … and hope and mercy

What the Bible says about Health :Collected Bible verses about health.

National Sundaylaw — A T Jones : This is a PDF download of a a small book that goes right to the point in explaining the beast, the mark of the beast, the seal of God, and other important issues from Bible prophecy that pertain to our very day. Written in simple English, this is very easy to understand and makes the issues very clear.

Christ and His Righteousness : “In his book, Christ and His Righteousness, E. J. Waggoner explores the Biblical evidence for righteousness by faith. What this book lacks in length, it makes up for in depth. Some pages will give you as many as 10 Bible verses you’re expected to look up yourself (if you really want to follow his arguments in that kind of detail). Christ and His Righteousness is a treasure trove of God’s love, mercy, forgiveness, grace, acceptance, and justice. It teaches about grace while upholding the law. It shows that it is impossible for us to earn righteousness, and that it is a gift from God. At the same time it shows us how to be holy by living a God-empowered life. Anyone dealing with law vs. grace issues should read this book. Anyone interested in living a holy life through God’s strength should read this book.” — Pastor Jay Perry

Truth Triumphant :This tremendous book covers the untold history of the early middle ages. Along the way you will find some fascinating information about men such as “St.” Patrick. Find out what the early church really believed.

Early Writings — Ellen G. White :Rare indeed it is in these changing times that a book lives on through a century in ever-increasing demand and takes its place in current reading by the side of books dealing with present issues. Yet such is the enviable record of Early Writings of Ellen G. White. Through the years there have been many printings of the several editions. It now appears in a fifth american edition. This popular little volume is rightly named, being a republication of the first three Ellen G. White books –Christian Experience and Views of Mrs. E. G. White, first printed in 1851; A Supplement to Experience and Views, issued in 1854; and Spiritual Gifts, Volume 1, which appeared in 1858. The wide and lasting popularity of Early Writings may be attributed to the unwaning desire to possess and study the messages of information and encouragement which came early to the church through the prophetic gift.

The Sanctified Life — By Ellen White :The sanctification set forth in the Sacred Scriptures has to do with the entire being–spirit, soul, and body. Here is the true idea of entire consecration. Paul prays that the church at Thessalonica may enjoy this great blessing. “The very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thess. 5:23).

There is in the religious world a theory of sanctification which is false in itself and dangerous in its influence. In many cases those who profess sanctification do not possess the genuine article. Their sanctification consists in talk and will worship. Those who are really seeking to perfect Christian character will never indulge the thought that they are sinless. Their lives may be irreproachable, they may be living representatives of the truth which they have accepted; but the more they discipline their minds to dwell upon the character of Christ, and the nearer they approach to His divine image, the more clearly will they discern its spotless perfection, and the more deeply will they feel their own defects.

When persons claim that they are sanctified, they give sufficient evidence that they are far from being holy. They fail to see their own weakness and destitution. They look upon themselves as reflecting the image of Christ, because they have no true knowledge of Him. The greater the distance between them and their Saviour, the more righteous they appear in their own eyes. While with penitence and humble trust we meditate upon Jesus, whom our sins have pierced and our sorrows have burdened, we may learn to walk in His footsteps. By beholding Him we become changed into His divine likeness. And when this work is wrought in us, we shall claim no righteousness of our own, but shall exalt Jesus Christ, while we hang our helpless souls upon His merits.

The Great Controversy — By Ellen White :The Great Controversy takes us through the history of the Christian church from the days of the apostles to recent times, with the rare and unaltered history that one usually only finds in books from 100 years ago. But this book does not stop there. It takes the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation and applies them to our day–revealing what is taking place and what will soon take place. It does this by using the Biblical method of comparing scripture with scripture, “Line upon line, line upon line, precept upon precept, precept upon precept, here a little, and there a little.” “To the law and to the testiomony, if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” (Isa. 8:20) If you want to understand what the Bible has to say about our day like you have never before understood–then read this book, compare it with the Bible, and be prepared for the coming events!

Country Living Revised — Ellen White :Untold numbers have found clear wisdom from this booklet on the often forgotten issue of where our homes should be located.  Although it should be common sense, the truths in this little booklet are often uncommon sense these days.  The importance of this issue is brought out clearly and reasonably.  It is our hope that these inspired statements will awaken in your heart not only a desire, but also a firm determination to act on the instruction given.  For your convenience and clarity, the quotes have been arranged in chronological order instead of the topical format originally used for this booklet.

The Desire of Ages — Ellen White :Declared to be one of the greatest works on the life of Christ by a curator of the Library of Congress, the Desire of Ages truely gives a life-changing reading experience! After you read this book we believe you will agree that it truely was inspired by God.
